We all know him as Don Johnson’s other half…Detective Ricardo “Rico” Tubbs on Miami Vice. He has had some minor roles since then and has done some commericals for the Philip Michael Thomas Psychic Connection. He now lives in Florida and has 12 children. He is the voice of a drug dealer in Grand Theft Auto: Vice City and Grand Theft Auto: Vice City.  He has also released a number of albums over the years, including the 2007 release, Tune-Up.

Where Are They Now: Patrick Ewing

Named one of the 50 Greatest Players in NBA history, Patrick Ewing participated in 11 NBA All-Star Games. He was the 1985-86 NBA Rookie of the Year and captured two Olympic gold medals (1984, 1992). Ewing spent the first 15 seasons of his career with the New York Knicks. He briefly played for Seattle and Orlando, where he finished his career in 2002. He is now assistant coach of the Orlando Magic.

Where Are They Now: Joe Montana

As quarterback for the 49ers (and a season with the Chiefs), he led his team to the playoffs 11 times. He captured 9 divisional championships and 4 Super Bowl wins. He earned him Most Valuable Player honors in 3 of those games.
He was named All-NFL 3 times and All-NFC on 5 occasions. Montana was voted to the Pro Bowl 8 times and was elected to Pro Football Hall of Fame in January of 2000.

Since retiring after the 1994 season, Joe lives with his wife in a 9700-square foot Tuscan-style villa that straddles Napa and Sonoma in California’s wine country. It’s for sale, by the way, for $49 million!! See more pictures here.

Where Are They Now: Bobby Sherman

70’s teen idol Bobby Sherman became famous in the mid-60’s as a house singer on the ABC series “Shindig!” He also appeared in the TV shows “Here Come The Brides” and his own show “Getting Together.” He had some top 40 hits with “Little Woman”, “Julie (Do Ya Love Me)” and “Easy Come, Easy Go.” He is now a San Bernardino County Sheriff’s deputy and spends time with his 2 adult sons and 3 grandchildren.

Where Are They Now: Peggy Fleming

Now a 61-year-old grandmother of 3, she competed in women’s figure skating in the 1964 games and finished 6th. It was at the 1968 games in Grenoble where she won the gold medal. She was in Vancouver this week watching the current women compete.

Peggy was diagnosed with breast cancer in 1998. Calling her battle a ”life Olympics,” she has overcome the disease and is now a breast cancer activist. She lives with her husband in the Bay Area and owns Fleming Jenkins Vineyards and Winery.

Where Are They Now: Dan Jansen

Speed skater Dan Jansen was favored to win a gold medal  in the 1988 Calgary Olympics when he fell. Jansen’s sister, Jane, had died of cancer on the very day of her brother’s race. The world watched and hoped four years later in Albertville, but he failed to reach the medal podium. Finally, at Lillehammer in 1994, Jansen won the gold.
He now does a lot of television work and is calling the races for NBC  in Vancouver.” He makes his home with wife, Karen and his children in North Carolina and owns an orthopedic rehabilitation company. He also created the Dan Jansen Foundation in memory of his sister, with the purpose of fighting leukemia.

Where Are They Now: Eric Heiden

Eric Heiden became a household name when he won 5 gold medals in speed skating at the Winter Games in Lake Placid, New York in 1980. Until Apolo Ohno broke his 30-year Olympic record in Vancouver, he was most decorated American man in Winter Olympics history.

He lives Park City, Utah, with his wife, who is also an orthopedic surgeon, and two children. He is the team doctor for U. S. Speedskating.

Where Are They Now: Mike Eruzione

On February 22, 1980, team captain and forward Mike Eruzione led the U.S. Men’s hockey team to upset the heavily-favored Soviet Union 4-3 in the Olympic semifinal before beating Finland for the gold medal. The Soviet game has since been considered one of the most memorable events in the history of American sports and has been dubbed the “Miracle on Ice.”

He now works at Boston University. His current title is “director of special outreach.” His job description involves fund-raising and alumni relations on behalf of the school and its athletic department. When he’s not at BU, he’s traveling, sometimes for BU and sometimes on his own, doing motivational speaking, meeting people, and playing in celebrity golf tournaments.

Michelle Kwan won the Silver Medal in Ladies’ Figure Skating in Nagano and the Bronze in Salt Lake City. She also won nine US and five World Championship titles. She made a brief attempt at a comeback in 2006, but numerous injuries sidelined the star and signified the end of her competitive skating career.

Michelle recently began her master’s degree in international relations at Tufts University. She also serves as an envoy for public diplomacy for the US government.

Remember speed skater Bonnie Blair? She has 5 gold medals and one bronze from 3 Olympics:  Calgary in 1988, Albertville in 1992, and Lillehammer in 1994 in long-track speedskating.
Blair and her husband David Cruikshank, who speedskated in four Olympics, live outside Milwaukee with their two children. She does some motivational speaking and serves on the board of U.S. Speedskating.
While attending the Olympic Games in Vancouver with her family, she autographed a chalk mural honoring 19 winter athletes in the US Olympic Hall of Fame.
